Bock is a kind of beer you dont find many of in the USA, Michelob
has the only mass produced and well known "Amber Bock", but that isnt
even a real Bock in my mind... Bock is a dark and strong beer, but
without a lot of hops is it is more sweet and smoky than bitter, one of
the best things I know is to mix a Bock with a much more hoppy Ale of
some sort. Being from Norway, My favorite is the Bock from Aass Bryggeri in Drammen, Norways oldest brewery.
- Ayinger, Germany. Celebrator Doppelbock. This wasnt the best Bock I ever had, it was ok but wasn't as good as I had hoped for a German beer, it could be that the bottle was old, hard to tell.
- Aass, Drammen, Norway. Bock. The best one I know of! Hard to come buy, even in Norway it only sells at Polet.
